If the dealer was competent enough, the problem would have been diagnosed and resolved much sooner. The shifter pin issue seems to be related to 700's, I did not find any shifter pin case related to 750's. Africa Twin and other DCT models share the same component part number with 750's and so far there is no story about it failing.

Since 2014, I've owned 2 NC750X DCT bikes, a 2019 Africa Twin & now a 2020 ATAS DCT. With my 2019 AT DCT, I found the throttle to be far more sensitive compared to the NC's. After installing the KAOKO throttle control, I realized I could adjust the tension on the control to create braking friction on the throttle at very slow speeds.
I4PZ. Bought ’17 Africa Twin DCT, but it has a dct problem ☹. The dct hesitates to change the gears – in D mode it changes from 1st to 2 gear when the rpm reaches about 3,5-4k rpm. The same fro 2st to 3st gear. Other gears are better, but changing is not smooth – not like clunking noise, bet gears are changing slow, like clutch is slipping a
5w40 will run better than 10w40 in the cold and is has equal performance there after. I've been using it in my goldwings for years and is going in my AT DCT next (2nd) oil change. I hear ya. Been using the 5W40 T6 for a few years now and have been very happy with its behaviour in standard Honda engines.
Had an incident yesterday and would like to tell and maybe get feedback. I am riding an Africa Twin 2020 Adventure Sport DCT bought in May 2020, never had DCT before, only manual 1. The first time it happened when I was on the road in the mountains. My ATAS was fully loaded with hard panniers and a lady on the passenger seat.
Good morning all. I have a 2018 dct. the other day i was riding behind a slow vehicle got cross passed it and gunned the motor. The bike did not change gears and soon refs were dangerously high in the valve bounce range. Got a fright and changed manually. This is the first time this happened. Haven't had a repeat. Has anyone else experienced this.
No one I have read about had problems with Honda's dct stuff worth mentioning.. So now worries there.. Ps. Unfortunately I have only ridden the 2017 DCT for a short while on marble like gravel & did find that it is a lot easier without needing to worry about which gear you are in.. Mostly rode it in sport mode with gravel mode engaged.
