The CRF300LS’s shorter suspension contributes to a low seat height of 32.7 inches (2 inches lower than the standard CRF300L). Just like its taller sibling, the rear and middle of the seat are relatively wide for comfort, while the front area is slim, making it even easier for the rider to touch the ground when stopped.
The Africa Twin Adventure Sports now shares its seat height with the Africa Twin at 850-870mm (down considerably from the 900-920mm of the previous model). The tail section is slimmer and the seat itself is 40mm narrower, for easier ground reach; its shape has also been carefully contoured to allow easier back and forth movement.

Hi Hood, yeah got and used the altered seat for a 1 week tour and found it better than the low version, but no better than the standard height seat. Ive since fitted a Seat Concepts kit and it's no softer than the oem but it's shaped better for more comfort.
